Marshall University

I had issues finding the right major for me, but beyond that I had tons of good memories while at Marshall University. Most of my classes and professors were great, but I did have a few that I had issues with. My math and science classes were great, but I struggled with some of my programming classes.

Although Marshall academic and leadership are not always the best, the community that was cultivated there taught me more than my classes did. There were many extracurricular opportunities for people to learn and socially advance. I think the new president is doing a good job as well.

Marshall University is a great school! They have a multitude of undergraduate and graduate programs. They offer on-campus, online, and hybrid classes. They have two campuses. Both are easily walkable. They have wonderful libraries. They have sports, including football, basketball, baseball, and soccer.

Marshall University is a warm and welcoming school located in the heart of Huntington, WV. The school offers a variety of majors and programs led by professors who are most concerned about helping the students with their educational journey and future careers.

Marshall University offers high quality education that can lead to a higher quality of life. I discovered myself there and I met the most wonderful people and some of the most brilliant people I’d ever met too. The whole campus felt like a community and it will always be a turning point in the story of my life.

I graduated from Marshall University in 2025 as an Information Technology major, and overall I’d rate my experience a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Looking back, I genuinely enjoyed my time at Marshall and feel that it prepared me well for both the technical and professional sides of the IT field.

Marshall University is an excellent school. The professors have an aptitude for helping their students succeed, as well as a strong desire to watch each of them grow. As a social work graduate, I have to strongly recommend the program; I cannot stress how satisfied I was the entire time with the program, the professors, and the students.

Marshall University has a small Social Work program, and for the most part, very dedicated staff and faculty. They do their very best to provide students with the tools and resources to complete the program successfully. With the program being so small, it can be difficult to receive adequate resources from the university itself, but this program is a tight knit community that loves and helps its students.

I adored my experience at Marshall University. In the four years I was there, I was able to work on professional level shows while learning behind the scenes from teachers that truly were experts in their fields. In my extracurricular classes, I was always in a class that interested me, and I genuinely found professors that ignited my passion for their class. The campus is beautiful and really open for any type of person to be themselves at. Truly a wonderful university.

I felt the program at Marshall prepared me for my career in nursing. The financial assistance was great and the staff very helpful in navigating the financial aid system. The classes were challenging but attainable. The diversity in scheduling of classes was also helpful.

My experience at Marshall University was phenomenal! I was struggling academically at a previous college, but the transition to MU was extremely simple and they honored military credits that were not accepted in the previous school. The professors in the business program were ready to help the students succeed.

Marshall is a wonderful university enriched with diversity, creativity and forward thinking. Their culture is one of innovation and inclusivity. I would strongly recommend this college to anyone desiring a strong education in a community that embraces all

Good college, up to date program and professors

The faculty, at least in the History department, was student centered and exacting with high expectations. The facilities, library services especially, helped to get a great deal of work done well

Excellent school for athletic oriented programs, however severely lacking in funding for science based curricula. The university does an excellent job at giving students the full college experience, however it does poorly at preparing students for entry into the job market.
