Degree: Communications

Manhattan College is a perfect school for anyone wanting to go to college in NYC but also wants an actual campus with solid campus life. Professors are very passionate about the classes they teach, and they also give a lot of help outside of class during office hours. Advisors are really easy to communicate with, as they are great about responding to emails and setting up meetings to help out with scheduling or just to give some advice. The Riverdale area as a whole is a very unique neighborhood... Read More

Degree: Computer Engineering

Manhattan college has an amazing student to lecturer ratio. With small classrooms, its hard not to participate or lose concentration during lectures. This helps lecturers connect with their students and make adjustment in teaching style and methods when necessary. The only downside is the ageing infrastructure and the almost non-existence financial aid.

Degree: Special Education

Manhattan College's graduate program of Special Education was such a fulfilling experience that not only adequately prepared me for my career as a teacher, but still inspires me. Every class that I took focused on a different aspect of teaching and gave real insight into the field, whether it be curriculum, methods, pedagogy, or the social implications of being a teacher. What was special about Manhattan College's program was not just the quality of the classes themselves, but the community that... Read More

Degree: Communications

Manhattan College's communications degree is both a challenging and instructive program. The required classes for all communications majors stimulate much thought among students, and prepare them for classes they will take within their concentration. The journalism department teaches students the basics of journalism, but also delves deeper into specific areas of journalism. Through the feature writing class, digital storytelling class, and advanced reporting, students are able to practice their... Read More

Degree: Civil Engineering

Manhattan college is a great school for engineering. The alumni are very involved and the college has a mentoring program. It is a school that offers small classes so your professors really get to know you. The career center is very helpful with finding jobs as well as internships.

Degree: School Counseling

Every program has pros and cons and Manhattan College's School Counseling program is no different. One of the main pros of this program is the care and attention each student receives from each professor. Our professors will everything in their might to help students through school work, recommendation letters, networking, amongst other things. Another pro of this program is the quality of the education. Professors do not teach from the textbook but rather their own experiences. They share their... Read More

So far I see it as a good school its a small school and the staff is friendly. It is easy to get around and for those that do not live close by they provide dorm living.

Degree: Engineering

Easy to get into, but definitely a challenge if you strive for straight A's. Professors are brilliant and accessible.

Degree: Education

Small Classrooms and very attentive professors makes for a great education. Having New York City to use for internships and student teaching doesn’t get anymore resourceful. High tuition and career services are not great at all.
