Lynn University

Lynn University was an exceptional college for me. It allowed me to learn and actually grow more as a person through my 5 years of studies. I started in 2017, and eventually graduated with a Major in 3D Animation. I started college very timid and shy, and this school helped bring my socializing skills to a level I thought never attainable. Read More social, arts, and humanities courses for many to take. I'm also honored that the school was an advocate for diversity as many of our students, and my friends, are international students. To be honest, a lot of the courses were easy, but once I started realizing how much this school had to offer, I did not want to squander my opportunity to learn and excel. I actually wasn't sure for my first 2 years what I'd major in, and thankfully I was able to complete most of my gen-ed courses for general requirement this way. Once I hit junior year, I took in all the arts courses all at once, and it was truly a blast. Over the years I had attended, many of those gen-ed classes/ a few optional ones were so wonderful in the humanities, my classroom volunteered to work at a soup kitchen for a day.

It was truly wonderful giving back to this world, and in the process, learning to socialize with my peers more effectively. This school taught me much in regards to history, philosophy, ethics, art, business, and finances, and I am thankful that the other courses based on traditional studies like finances were also teaching the most important educational lessons that every college student needs to learn. If I do have one critique however, while learning statistics, and a few other math courses like algebra I and II, not any of them mentioned examples or lessons on taxes or personal bills, and that was something I still had to learn on my own after college. I think every school, even highschools should prepare their students for the real world, and the financial implications behind it. Regardless, a lot of my art professors were super helpful teaching us animation courses, art theory and technique assistance. I learned how to create game worlds in Unreal Engine 4, and it was a blast creating a functional actual video game as a final project. I'll never forget our maya projects of modeling, animation, or the game creation aspects. So much of it was fun, it barely felt like college. If I ever gain the extra income and time I'd like, maybe one day I will return to it.

Lynn University is a prestigious private school in South Florida. It has a fairly good acceptance rate and accepts students based on their capabilities and transcripts. They give everyone a chance to become better than They might have been in high school. Most professors are highly reliable, friendly, and respectful of others and their opinions. The only downside to Lynn University is its cost, especially for international students. If you want to go to Lynn, make sure to get your scholarships and... Read More financial aid in order. For those interested in parties etc., Lynn does not really allow that because of its strict rules on alcohol usage and distribution; however, they are other colleges nearby that have such parties; therefore, you are likely to make friends and attend parties in other places. Living on campus is fun and luxurious (depending on the building you want to live in ). Facilities and equipment are up to date. This is definitely the place for a political science and international relations major.

PLEASE do not spend your money at this school. I assure you that it's not worth it. Of course, if you can go for free (which I think is not possible), then there's no problem. Otherwise, you should avoid Lynn at all costs. It's just a waste of time and money. The financial aid and scholarships suck. I'm worried that many international students apply here since it's easy to get in, but the amount of money required to attend the university is crazy compared to what the degree is worth. Is a decent... Read More school if you want to have a great time, I guess, but the parties are not that great. The teachers are not that great either. Also, I know a lot of people who attended Lynn because they offered to finish the major in 3 years, but I don't think it's worth it either. I have been hearing about many situations of people applying here because it's a safety school without submitting SAT or having decent stats. Being accepted here is not something you should be proud of. Attending the university was the biggest mistake of my life. I hope you don't make the same mistake that I and many others did.

go here is you want people to laugh behind your back at job interviews. Although, chances are if you went here you probably wouldn’t need to interview for a job anyway - you’ll just take over your dads business - in the same way the the dean of the school took over for his father (who was at that time the highest paid president of any university). Seriously, someone needs to check into the finances of this place in a serious way... It would be nice to say you get what you pay for but that’s not true.....
