Keiser University Reviews of Bachelor's in Business

I am seeing a lot of negative reviews on here about Keiser and it seems like they have been written by students whom either A. Failed out and now blame the school rather than their own lack of effort, or B. Had some sort of issue with financial aid (which isn't fair to give the entire school a negative review). With that being said, the quality of education at Keiser is hit or miss. I had some professors that were very lenient on grading and didn't do a very good job at teaching; however, I have... Read More also had some that held high standards and were passionate about teaching. It's important to note that most of their professors also teach at other schools, since the scheduling allows them to-- so a knock on Keiser's professors is also knocking the professors of neighboring institutions. All in all, I have 6 months left before I get by BA and feel like my understanding of business is much greater than what it was prior to my attendance. However, I do wish some of the professors were more strict on grading because I don't want idiots out there in my field representing my institution, thus, facing prejudices myself when attempting to gain employment.

I am posting this for anyone who is considering attending Keiser University's online program in the hopes that they will consider other universities so they won't end up in the situation I am in currently. I just completed my business degree program with Keiser and come to find out that they will not release my transcripts nor my degree until I pay them a $2k balance which my student loans / financial aid did not cover while I was in school. This would be okay, if this had been communicated to me... Read More when I was solicited by their aggressive telemarketers to attend Keiser back in early 2011. What these telemarketers tell you is that you are required to pay $50 per month while you are attending school and that student loans and financial aid will cover the rest of your tuition. Now I'm in a position where I owe $60k in student loans which I'm going to have to start paying on in 6 months, but cannot pursue a decent paying job because they will not release my degree or transcripts. The other thing I would like to mention is that nobody from the school will get back with you if you have a concern. This has happened to me frequently over the last 3.5 years. I emailed the dean on this matter and she just ignores it and will not even reply. If you are considering attending Keiser, looking back, I would suggest you look into other schools that are more affordable. For the most part, the instructors are decent, but now that I'm finished there, I feel like I paid for a Cadillac and received a Chevy Cobalt.

I am blown away by some of the reviews on here. I have been going to Keiser University for over 2 years and I have had a great experience. The small class sizes, only having to take one class at a time, individualized attention,knowledgeable teachers, etc... are just some of the great features of this school. I have made many lifelong friends, including some of the professors. This school has given me the gift of knowledge, confidence, independence, the ability to go above and beyond what is expected... Read More of me, etc... Anyone who is giving a negative review apparently is not cut out for the regimen of Keiser. Classes are taken much faster than other schools. You can't just ride this degree. You have to study, work hard, and be committed. I am double majored in both business and in legal studies, with the hope of going to law school to become a lawyer. I work very hard to maintain my nearly perfect GPA. A Keiser student is expected to study hard and to do everything in his or her power to EARN the degree that person chose. Nobody else is going to do it for you. These people blaming the school for their inadequacies are not Keiser material, but people who are expecting to be rewarded for work they obviously cannot do. I urge anyone to not hesitate to go here. Yes, it is expensive. But it is well worth it, if you can honestly commit yourself to it. So anyone who is hesitant about this school, don't be. It is a great school with the same accreditation of USF, PCC, and all of the other big colleges here in Florida. I also have several friends here that are in the nursing program. It is top notch and yes, they have to work hard to maintain their grades as well. Many of them already have good jobs because of Keiser. I urge anyone thinking about going to Keiser to give our campus a look, maybe speak with some of the other students or professors.
