I have been a student at Keiser University Jacksonville campus for almost a year now. I'm in my mid 30's, so it's been a while since I was in school. I was attracted to Keiser University because they offered 1 class at a time enrollment. My experience so far education wise has been good. The instructors know what they are talking about, the information they teach is current and presented in a way that is easy to understand. The class sizes are small and if you need any help your instructor is only... Read More

The classes are very fast paced, you have to read sometimes 5 chapters in a week for a class. Luckily, you only take one class at a time, so you can focus on your class for a month. If you are not doing homework every single day, you will have a problem. Most teachers are willing to work with you if you have something that prevents you from doing your homework, but you must have a good excuse. The teachers are willing to look out for you if you do the work and participate. While I loved many of my... Read More

If you have any professional experience with computers, pick another school and save yourself the headaches. Having to inform the "professor" that they are providing incorrect information (despite its truth) is never well received. Scheduling problems due to clerical errors and no responsibility taken on the part of the faculty or administration despite the negative impact on my GPA.

Prior to enrolling the staff at Keiser University lead me to believe that finishing my degree early would ensure me of finding a career in my field of study faster and therefor the added expense would indeed be worth it. Here I am $30000 in debt and because I am on a payment plan with Keiser for the books I put on my account, they will not release my transcripts and I can not obtain a career in my field of expertise. Long story short people. Be warned. Pay half as much elsewhere and WALK at the same... Read More

I am a person that appreciates good tuition, this school does not provide that. Everything they are interested in is in the money from your financial. Just do not enter to the school. It is a hell. There are not enough times I can emphasize this.

Tell us about your college experience.

I am a fast learner. I did well in classes that I had some prior knowledge in. When we moved into subjects that were new to me the pace was much too quick for anyone to have a proper understanding. Nobody can go from zero to CCNA in 30 days. Nobody. Sure, a test may be passed, but it doesn't reflect an understanding of the material. That is Keiser's main flaw.

Would you get the same degree if you could start over?

I would definitely choose the same degree. I love... Read More

What advice can you offer other students?

The biggest thing that I wish schools would be more up front about is price. I had to sit and wait and then have a long conversation with an advisor before I found out how much each school would cost. Shopping around should be easier, but since it is not, it is well worth the effort to dig as deep as possible to find out what debts will be incurred. I spent ~$30k at Keiser when I could have spent less than half that at a different school with a better program that is more integrated with the local market.

Do not waste your time and money. I am an adult who was in the business world for many years. I am used to dealing with people in a professional and honest method.

In one semester my book orders were incorrect once, not sent another time and then I was double charged. I needed to speak to three different people before I found someone who was WILLING and then able to correct the issues. This is the tip of the iceberg.

Attempting to transfer has been a complete nightmare. It has been more than six... Read More

It certainly tells me something about their level of professionalism. Run away! You won't regret it.
