Florida International University Reviews of Master's in Chemistry

My graduate program does a good job of networking scientists from many different fields in collaborative research. However, I would appreciate a more college-town atmosphere and some sort of public transportation.

Florida International University is an excellent school. Good Research facility and excellent mentors makes it more competitive.

I would like to say I like my program and current research projects which mean a lot to the environment. The facilities in our dept are also advanced and fancy. I hope that our dept can provide grad students more info about future career info by holding seminar or posting jobs info on board.

I think Chemistry is a very good department having excellent research facilities. If our department can continue their ongoing progress,it will be positioned within top 100 graduate school in USA within couple of years.

The experiences at FIU had helped me evolve. Very supportive faculty and always willing to help in professional matters. Overall, a good grad school.

Graduate program involves great professors that have knowledge on the subjects. The program is challenging.

FIU's research faculty are at the top of their respective fields. It was enlightening to learn from and work with these faculty members. The equipment available for research was also far above my expectations, allowing me to obtain results that may have otherwise been difficult or impossible to get by any other means.

This university is not very international, with more than 60% of students being hispanic (and the majority of those Cuban.) Chemistry dept is good but get ready for a LOT of work, and don't expect much of a social life. This is comparable to other grad school programs though. It really depends on your advisor. We also have a great Forensic Chemistry program that is excellent.
