Degree: Information Technology
Receiving a degree in Information Technology has been a good decision. Yet, this degree alone has not been enough to secure gainful employment. It has acted as a "support" to other education, such as an MBA or a Doctorate. Reason is that many IT companies require at least working knowledge in programming or databases. An IT degree is more geared from management rather than computer science. A more marketable skill would have been in computer science or computer engineering. Yet a student needs to... Read More

Florida Atlantic University was a wonderful school. I feel that although not all of the professors in the school were perfect, majority were aimed at helping us to succeed and achieving our goals. The degree I received required very rigorous courses, but overall helped me to better prepare for the future.

Florida Atlantic has been everything i've dreamed of for my MBA in Sports Management studies. The funny part is, I was accepted into FAU for my undergrad but decided to go else where. I loved met experience there but was coincidentally drawn back towards FAU, and decided to attend for my graduate studies. FAU has provided a myriad of ways for my to get my foot in the door towards my career after graduation. Attending FAU is awesome, but being a part of #3 best sports management program in the nation... Read More

FAU is an amazing school, with so many available resources for students to succeed. The main goal of the professors and fellow classmates is success not only in the present but in the future. A lot of students commute to school so parking is the most difficult part of the day sometimes. Classrooms are fairly large until you get to your upper division classes, but teachers are always available for one on one support.

Overall, I am satisfied with my decision to attend FAU for my graduate degrees. The Graduate College at FAU is extremely supportive of its students and I was impressed with the services they offered, especially in the final semester of my work. I would like to see graduate student stipends raised to match the cost of living in the area and to become more competitive with other public universities in the state. The lack of offered insurance to graduate students is also an area where FAU falls short... Read More

I have learned a multitude of life skills throughout the graduate process. There are many scholarship and tuition support opportunities at this university. Although the stipends are relatively low, the variety of scholarship opportunities make it affordable.

FAU is a well rounded institution. With the course work provided I believe I was fully prepared to enter the real world. FAU had a pretty open door policy. Instructors and administrators were always available to answer any concerns. They also walked with you every step of the way. I was recently accepted to their Masters program, and couldn't be happier to be going back to my Alma Mater.

As an alumni, I am certain that FAU is where I always want to be for my education. I want my friends, family, and even my future children to attend here. Education took on a whole new meaning. when I started attending college here. I think about when I was in middle or high school, slowly putting my shoes on because I dreaded being dropped off for school. Now as an adult, I am as excited as a child the night before going to Disney World. I want to attend class, finish a paper, participate in discussion,... Read More

Along with a beautiful campus, FAU just remodeled their breezeway and many of the facilities making it that much more clean and state of the art. The Recreation and fitness center, although often crowded, is really impressive with their Zumba, boxing, dance etc. classes and equipment, pools and basketball/volleyball courts. They even started doing outside training classes for people who like to be outside like me. They don't fall short on facilities and activities to enjoy. FAU's professors, for... Read More
