Its small class sizes create an ideal learning environment where students receive personalized attention and support. My time in the DPT program at DUNY has been nothing short of life changing. From day one, I’ve felt supported and encouraged by professors, mentors, and classmates who truly care about my growth. The challenges I’ve faced in the classroom and during clinicals have pushed me to grow not only as a future physical therapist but also as a person. This program has deepened my love for the profession and has given me the confidence to know I can make a difference in people’s lives.

The physical therapy program has prepared me from my very first trimester! Starting with the professors, each professor not only teaches, but continues to practice. It was nice to know they are all up to date with research and are able to apply what we learn as students in the real world setting. As a graduating student, I feel confident in my clinicals.

At Dominican University New York, the DPT program is rigorous and rewarding. The weekend format is ideal for students who have strong time management. The curriculum is challenging, but through it, I have become confident in my knowledge and skills as an SPT. We are taught by an esteemed faculty. The faculty continues to practice and stay current with their treatment techniques and knowledge. They are dedicated and passionate about the physical therapy field and their students; they want to see us... Read More

I am proud of my choice to attend Dominican College's DPT program. Since the interview, I was impressed by how approachable, supportive, and relatable the professors are. The current teaching staff are all well-respected and active within the community, and they each offer insight from diverse expertise - making for an inspiring and practical learning environment. It's important to point out and appreciate how well the curriculum flows as I can connect principles within a smart structure. Also, the... Read More

Dominican College's DPT program impressed me from the start with their hands-on learning approach, class schedule, and most importantly, their evaluation framework. The teaching staff is extremely knowledgeable, young, energetic, and practical who all still treat patients during the week. This is a huge advantage as a student because all of our learning is tied back to practical application. The curriculum flows trimester to trimester overlapping, solidifying and building on itself; reinforcing the... Read More

The weekend format is great for those who will be proactive, proficient in time management, and self-motivating. All of the core/full-time professors are sincere, supportive, and available. They are all full time practicing clinicians who have a passion for therapy, which is important because you are taught the facts along with the relevant experience and application of the facts. Dominican College's DPT program has recently revamped the staff, their approach to teaching, and the resources available... Read More

I am currently a member of the Physical Therapy program at Dominican College. Attending Dominican College's DPT program was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Our professors go above and beyond for their students and I feel that they care about their students as people and more than just their grades. The curriculum was carefully thought out by a new director (as of a few years ago) and this curriculum sets you up for success in your career in physical therapy. Any reviews that you have... This is a part time program for the Masters of Science in OT degree. I would recommend that parents and students avoid this program because of the low quality of education that is being provided here. There is no hands-on knowledge that is provided in this program, simply because the facilities are inadequate and the professors seem less than knowledgeable about the subjects. The assignments are exercises in semantics, based on movies - there was no Occupational Therapy that was taught to me here... Read More

This school Is good to attend after you've gone to a big school and experienced all of what a major university has to offer. I say so because there is not much for students to do here, if you're looking for a very very small school then this is for you. If you want to experience college I suggest going to a bigger school. I only recommend this school if you're studying nursing, Occupational therapy or Masters in business. Thats it! Anything else, you can get better else where.

The Dominican College DPT program is outstanding. It is not what it once was years ago as the faculty, staff, and director are all new. The professors are experts in their fields and many of them have fellowships in orthopedic manual therapy which is one of the reasons I chose DC DPT. Also, the faculty continue to practice in their own clinics when they are not teaching and this allows for better learning experience because they remember much more about PT and are constantly being challenged by their... Pros: -This graduate program is intense and competitive and you are forced to learn so much that it leads me to believe that it must be a great program and I will come out with better knowledge and understanding than others - It is a joint program for both Bachelor's and Masters Degree. - The teachers are great they all know what they want from their students Cons: - Tuition is ridiculous. You have to pay like $400 just to register for classes EVERY semester
