Graphic Design To start, you'll need to complete gen eds and the foundations for the program. I believe those include basic drawing, painting, and sculpture classes. He's genuinely interesting, he's incredibly well versed in the field and in related work, and he also cares about his students. If I could, I'd go back in time and take his classes exclusively. The end of the program culminates with a gallery exhibition. it's sort of a freestyle project, so make sure you brainstorm some ideas even though it's at the end of senior year! Digital Cinema The professor that teaches the program is a really interesting guy and you can learn a lot from him, but I wouldn't recommend this program unless you are incredibly self driven and want a sort of independent study type thing. I'd go with photography instead if you want to take this route.

Dominican University has a very flexible and responsive graduate program in alternative licensure with a Masters in Special Education! I have learned how to use my past experiences in and out of the classroom to affect change inside my own classroom of special education students. The course selection was relevant, hands-on, and included a lot of collaboration among students and professors. Our program met off campus in a centralized location that benefitted all working professionals. The online components of the course allowed independent work and instant feedback from peers and professors. I have enjoyed the customer service through the college's registrar and my academic advisor. They have helped me make sure I'm enrolled and all payments will be received on time! This university is also very cost effective and not overbearing--especially as a full-time educator myself.

I feel that the instructors at Dominican have been fantastic; consistently being flexible with the demands of adult students. I feel the assignments were tedious and not very beneficial to my learning. It often felt like they just needed an assignment to justify a grade. Studying in a profession that requires a very broad perspective on the world, I expected their would be greater opportunity to share our perspectives with our peers. The biggest negative I can identify is the inconsistency in expectations... Read More for completing the program at an off campus site. On one hand I was told I would be able to complete the program attending two nights a week at the same off-site facility, but on more than one occasion my classmate and I had to campaign to get the necessary classes at our facility.

I really enjoy Dominican, its professors and my fellow students. Class sizes are small, which makes it easier to form relationships with professors and other students. The Dominican network is very strong in the surrounding area and the alumni are always willing to help. The one downfall I have found so far is the cost. Living in Chicago is expensive and I have to work a full-time job to support myself. Because of this I have little time for internships or devoting the proper amout of time to multiple... Read More classes. But in order to be eligible for federal loans, I must take at least 6 hours. I know the work I'm capable of putting into school and the workload I can support while still being proud of the work that I do. Having to work to pay living expenses and school expenses is hard so anything that can alleviate that burden is welcome and extremely appreciated.

This is a great school with a very unique program which I'm enrolled in. I'm currently working toward my MBA simultaneously with a dietetic internship. This is the only school which focuses on giving me credentials for a corporate dietetic position. While I ranked the education high, the con is definitely cost. The tuition is high and very few opportunities for financial aid are available through the school. The cost of living is also high around the Chicago area, so it makes affording everything... Attending Dominican University was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. The four years I spent on DU's campus were filled with challenges and successes, strong relationships, and an academic experience that has gotten me to where I am today. During my time at DU, I became involved in University Ministry, Academic Advising, Residence Life, Undergraduate Admissions, Student Involvement, and other initiatives on campus. The people I met, both other students and staff members, have each impacted my life in a significant way, and I am forever grateful for that. Dominican provided me with an excellent education and opportunities to succeed academically, while challenging me to grow as an individual outside of the classroom as well!
