Campus culture at the school is my favorite part about the school. My advisor has helped me get from point A to point B even though I struggle with ADHD. That just reminded me the CDR office is trash. They denied ne accommodations my entire senior year but my advisors and dept chair are working with me to graduate.

Delaware State University has a great community. I would not fully recommend this school due to the time management skills that the registration office has. This school also has less resources to hand out in my department (Biology) in particular. Lastly, this school does offer tuition assistance programs.

Horrible communication and terrible financial aid assistance. I’ve been in the online program and professors and staff don’t communicate. Problems don’t get solved. They took out more money than I signed for from student loans and it lowered my credit score significantly. Classes that started in Summer, had no content for the first 1/8th of the semester. I’m looking to transfer out.

DO NOT GO HERE! The school does not care about the students and is very money hungry! First the office of financial aid is terrible, unorganized, And the workers are very lazy! Stay clear of Evelyn Wise and Ted Noble. At financial aid you have to go up in person multiple times in order to make sure that they actually process your financial aid and did their job with your paperwork. if not it won’t get done, they won’t press the button to submit it and you’ll just be stuck with a large balance. They’re... Read More

DESU is for You

DESU is a great school with a cohort Ed.D. model, they have a great faculty with some of the best in the state of Delaware. Additionally, the classes are much more affordable than you would find for other institutions. While this is currently an in-person program, they are making strides in extending the program.

Delaware State University is wonderful school. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this institution. When I first went to visit the school it felt like family. It was a close knit school community. It literally felt like everyone knew each other, and they were looking out for one another. It was amazing to see and feel this throughout the school atmosphere. I cannot imagine attending another school for undergrad. The school felt like home because it was home. I had the opportunity to meet so many different... Read More

Delaware State University is pretty great HBCU. It has great balance of education, collaboration, and spirit. The teachers care and are really great. They are pretty generous with scholarships for the students and they do try to make your school life as easy as possible.

Great school for students who are looking for a small community and building a bond with others. A lot of things are word of mouth and often will good unheard unless they are asked. Avoid the Admin building on the first few days of school because it will be packed. If you need questions answered the best time to go is during the Sumner.

Knowledgeable faculty and very supportive staff. Everyone is willing to do everything possible to make sure you do well. Classes were rigorous, giving you confidence that their preparing you for the work force. Delaware State University was an experience I could not put a price on. Although the affordability is nice. The experience of attending an HBCU and being able to get a glimpse of what it is like to be a minority was something that I value highly. The quality of the education needs improvement, but it is steadily increasing. The college focused primarily on esthetics which was a little frustrating being that the classrooms needed repairs and the teachers were not always performing to the best of their... Read More

While attending Delaware State University, I received my Bachelors Degree in Sports Management. The program taught me the importance of networking and connecting with individuals who are already established within the Sports Industry. I will be attending Georgetown in May where I will be working towards my Masters Degree in Sports Industry Management.

I love the program. I would have been great if it was more interactive. Doing mock crime scene and figuring out who did it or how to processes a scene. Or if there was an option to explore where in the field we actually wanted to go. And then to help focus that with classes.

Delaware State University is like a family. Everyone wants to help the students succeed. And you have resources for help such as tutoring and supplemental instruction for any class. It's a very memorable experience here.

The College of Business at Delaware State University has to provide one of the best graduate programs. It is hard to walk away from the University without a learning experience and ready to take on the world. Teachers and staff are all concerned of students well being and provide 100% support. I honestly cannot think of a con of the program. The only thing that may cause concern is the program being low in staff. However, this is currently being solved.

The pros of my graduate program is that they offer two campuses for students who can't get to the main campus. The con is that they don't have many financial aid offers to graduate students.
