Degree: Occupational Therapy

I regret taking out loans to be in this program for OT. The worst part is, most of the courses do not transfer to other OT programs. I wanted to leave so badly. I felt stuck in the program and I can not believe how expensive and unorganized it is. Students also have to make up for the faculties lack of organization and lack of communication by going out of their way to facilitate communication for facility. Doing this, on top of the demands of the program made it unnecessarily stressful. Sadly, I... Read More

I would not recommend this school or program for OT. For the amount of money, time, and dedication you spend attending a graduate program, there is no organization or communication. This is both with the program and the school itself. Higher-level management will not take responsibility for their actions (or lack of). You often will not receive responses through email for weeks at a time. Students did lose out on fieldwork placements from out of state/their preference due to lack of communication.... Read More

I am immensely grateful to Davenport University for the extraordinary support they have provided to my daughter during her time as a dual enrollment high school student. Navigating through the registration process of courses at Davenport and other universities was an intricate task, particularly given some unique circumstances we were dealing with. Throughout this challenging time, Felicia, the dual enrollment officer at Davenport University, stood out as a beacon of support and guidance. Her patient,... Read More

My professors were awful, late yo posting week announcements, so I'd start the week off behind not knowing what was due when. If professors didn't properly communicate expectations or details on work that was due, don't expect a response from a professor for atleast three business days. Oh and if you're struggling with the material, the professors actually tell you to Google it "research it and find confidence in your own answer". Their lazy and not willing to be helpful. It's just a pay check to... Read More

Literally a waste. The teachers don't care and the classes are too easy. I was never required, nor expected to open a book. This is quite a sad excuse for a school. I'm very disappointed that I wasted my GI bill to go here. I had one couse get snowed out 4 times and rather than take the time to fix it the teacher gave us a take home exam along with the answers.

Davenport university is a terrible school. The classes are a waste of time and money. Look elsewhere for your education. Attend a real university, not this low-tier school. You will be disappointed. You will realized a degree from this school is not worth the paper on which is printed

Davenport University is all about money. They do not care about student success. Their level of communication is also terrible, it is very hard to get a timely response. I would not recommend this school to anyone, especially those who are just starting college.

I absolutely do not recommend Davenport (Warren campus) do not waste your time or money looking into applying for their program. The left hand never know what the right hand Is doing! Very unorganized, and none caring... there arent any tutors available to help, except for the ones they have online that barely respond to you because they work! L. is no help, all she does is refer you to talk to your professors, but she is suppose to be the one there to help us figure out how to help us achieve, but... Read More

I attended this university with a lot of insecurities. I was a mid-30s parent, separated, and in a new state. Davenport made my return to college easy with night classes, Saturday courses and online courses. Having business professionals as teachers made it all the more interesting and every course was relevant. My AS degree has paid me very well. I highly recommend this school for continuing your college education. If there were closer, I would return again for a higher degree.

My experience with Davenport has been outstanding. My advisor has gone above and beyond to support me as an older student who works FT and is raising children to boot. My Professors are experienced professionals who have experience conducting research and working in the field. My peers are a mix of colleagues and people new to the profession, and are a wide variety of ages and abilities. I feel that I have received a well-rounded education that has truly prepared me to do the best work of my career.... Read More

This school claims to gear around adult learning, yet they basically forced me to quit my shop because of the ridiculous schedule they assign students. I had to beg and cry to have them change it, they didn't. They said it was my responsibility to convince someone to switch with me. I do not agree with the scheduling protocol and how everything is put through a random generator (I don't believe that) I am pretty sure they choose which students get the better schedule according to who they favor.... Higher education is extremely important in the workforce today. Having a degree sets you apart from other applicants, shows initiative and drive, and is the standard in business. Several people in our company are not using their actual degree plan, but everyone in our office has at least a four year degree.

I loved the flexibility to take classes in seat or online. I also loved that the professors were actual business people who were out working in the real world.

The academic advisors are extremely helpful. The campus is new and clean. The dorms are a little expensive, but there are plenty of other options. You need a car to get around the city or to-and -from school. The teachers are very invested in their students and want them to succeed. The program is new but is accredited.
