Concordia St.Paul, specifically the M.S. ITM program is one of the worst programs around. Professors turn a blind eye to blatant plagiarism happening all across the program and this makes it extremely difficult for those who actually want to learn to learn from each other as most of the time the online discussions are just there for people to get points and not for people to actually learn. As a master's program that relates to I.T. management this program may offer courses that seem to help people... You don't interact with your classmates and in my cohort there may only be 2-3 people who actually shares their thoughts in class. The biggest problem with CSP is that all they care about is money. They don't care about the programs or how well it prepares their students. All the program does is get as many international students with no background in IT and get them an easy degree where they use third party homework helpers constantly to help them through out the program. The majority of the professors are all burnt out and don't seem to have the desire to teach anymore. They just teach the same old things from 2-3 years back and give generic feedback on your assignments. Overall, CSP is a place to get a cheap and easy degree. If you truly care about learning. Do not apply here. Find something else as this is a cheap university for a reason.

If you want to earn an easy piece of paper and be set back 25k, then this is your school. Unless you already work in sports, do not pursue this major, just get an MBA, youll be further ahead. I completed this degree, and learned very little new substance from my undergrad. Despite finishing, then walking, they at first refused to give me my diploma. They said I missed the first course of the cohort. What I soon learned is they placed me into a cohort that was in its second course and they never advised... The intro course was an all encompassing course to intro the degree field, so the irony of taking it at the end of the coursework was laughable. What they really wanted was the money. Due to their error, they ended up waiving the course. I just feel there are many other schools out there that arent a degree mill like this one. And I hate to crush your dreams, but likely I said, unless you already work in sports, this masters degree will not help you at all, unless youre ready to step back and earn $30k upon graduation.

The online MFA program is new and quite good. The professors are dedicated and provide a strong foundation in theory and craft. There is a wide diversity of students (of all genres), but you get out of it what you put into it. The program's strong points outweigh the weak points, in my opinion. Since getting a real teaching job is nearly impossible unless you go to the elite programs, this program is well-suited to those who want to improve their writing, simple as that, and have a day job that they... It's expensive, and there is almost no funding, so this program is not for those who have the time, talent, and financial resources to dedicate a few years of their life, 24 hours a day, to becoming a writer. I wish I could do that, but responsibilities weigh me down. And if you're like me and live thousands of miles from any graduate program in English, it's perfect. When finished, I'll have an unknown MFA, but it has been my dream to have one. And it will definitely have been a well-earned one.

Do not go here. I'm still enrolled but it's because I'm only 6 or so months away from graduating and I'm trapped. The financial aid office absolutely ruined my financial plan and my VA benefits and they won't even admit their mistake. That part aside, the school advertises "flexible" online classes with schedules for working adults. I originally came to Concordia because I sought a better education than the public schools. I wanted to be pushed to do my best, to new levels I hadnt yet attained. More importantly I wanted a degree with value. These hopes and desires burned out pretty quickly when I arrived on campus. On top of all this, once you arrive at the end of your semester, you are basically done. Some classes do not even require a final, and if they do it will likely be cake walk. I personally had 1 real final, followed by TWO TAKE HOME FINALS AND AN ONLINE FINAL. No, that is not a joke, and yes, this technically is a real college (debateable).Why should I work as hard as I need to when Chad from the football team can google the answers (students have actually found the exact same question from a final on yahoo answers, quizzlet, etc). However, one of the most eye opening aspects of Concordia came to me in a macroeconomics class when I had a proffesor explain to the class how many businesses do not take a degree from concordia seriously. This was an actual proffesor bashing on the very school he teaches at. Need any more warning signs? On top of all this the school is extremely poor and some of the facilities looked a scene from dystopian novel. There is also the fact that if youre not an athlete, you essentially take second priority, and are treated as so. Being such a small school, the majority of students in the traditional undergrad program are athletes, and many of them hold certain judgements about others who arent just like them. The bottom line is if you are serious about your education, explore other options. This grad program is very practical, hands on, and has provided a great network of other educators who I will continue to stay in touch with. The benefit of it being a fully online program is that we have people from all over America and the world. This has brought an added wealth of experience and different perspectives. Doing the program completely online does not diminish the amount of resources you have access to because the school has many that are online as well. It is also one of the more affordable degree programs that I found.

I am very pleased with Concordia's Educational Leadership program. It provides a challenging and practical approach to the field that I believe is making be a better teacher. The cost is extremely competitive, and the online set-up is done very well. The only issue I have is the length of each class. Seven weeks seems very short to cover the important topics in each class. That being said, the professors are very approachable and knowledgeable in their fields.
