Very expensive, but is well worth it due to the near-guarantee of an amazing legal career.

It's quite a supportive environment, much more so than you might expect from a law school. The career support staff and the faculty are also incredibly welcoming and very dedicated to making your legal and academic career a success. It's quite a bit of a workload, though, so it's definitely a very challenging and difficult program.

It is amazing to finally get into the field of study that you want to pursue as a profession and begin to be equipped and prepared. Still, the program is a lot of work, though that is only to be expected, and the tuition and living expenses can be rather overwhelming.

Morningside Heights isn't exactly the most happening area of New York; the work load is insane (but, I imagine that's the same with any law school); and the diversity could be much better, but over all, CLS is a great experience. The students are welcoming and supportive; the faculty is accessible; and the job opportunities available with a CLS degree are incomparable.

The pro is the name and the city. The school knows this. However, they dont seem to care about the experience of their students and will do the absolute minimum to keep them happy as long as their ratings stay the same. The faculty is comprised of top scholars in their respective fields, and most of them are approachable, though the ones that aren't can be difficult to deal with.

Well known school, great faculty, not so great administration (not horrible, just not particularly supportive). Good classmates if you avoid those who go to law school to prove how smart they are. Law school is difficult wherever you go so think about what you want the school to do for you afterward (in terms of reputation, alumni network, and actual career support). While the name certainly opens doors, expect to work hard while there and afterward to get the career you want. Very corporate focused... Read More

Fantastic career opportunities. And I actually really like the location in Morningside Heights. Its homey and more calm than downtown.

It is a very prestigious and competitive program, but I do not like the number of transfer students who were admitted this academic year.
