The nursing program at CMU is shown a lot of love!! It was amazing to be part of a community that invested so much time into the educational experience. Technology is implemented in the best way at CMU. iPads are used in the classroom and online resources are a plenty. The library has amazing tutoring and writing centers to help along the way. Read More time to assess my readiness for a secondary degree. This was a great help during my application process and paid off ten fold as I was accepted the same day as my graduate interview. Without the help of the CMU faculty and staff, I would not have been able to accomplish these goals. Great school- highly recommend! PS- The tuition may look high but the scholarships and financial aid resources are amazing too!

The B.S. degree I chose was Business with a Minor in Education. The business aspects of the degree were good. I learned a great deal of information from the online business classes - Marketing, Business, Accounting 1 and 2. I didn't learn so much from the business classes in the classroom. I thought the University gave way too much latitude to the professors to preach their politics. One guy in particular said twice that his goal was to produce politicians who follow his ideology. Unfortunately he... Read More taught 4 of the business classes I needed. He appeared to have very little interest in my future employment. Another professor did little more than grade papers after we read the textbook and answered the end of chapter questions. The education portion of the degree really only amounted to a few classes. The student teaching was great, only because the school system where I decided to teach. I can't say the University did much to help prepare. The psychology class and the reading class were both nonsensical. I trudged through them not really learning anything, just getting the material done and completed. The University did what it was supposed to and gave me my diploma, but I can't say that it lived up to my expectations. I'm employable now with the degree. If you're looking for someplace to take you to the next level, this probably isn't the place. This place is good for the diploma in a time crunch.
