Horrible experience! They gave me an F on a paper because I sighted more than 3 sources. Those extra citations were required, due to being a vital part of the information I was elaborating on. I had a BCBA I worked with review my paper and she was astonished that they gave me absolutely no points. I ended up leaving and going to law school and I will never regret that transition. This school is no good! Please Capella states that professors will grade and return work within 2 business days most professors did follow this when it came down to my last 2 classes, I took both at the same time, I completed my capstone project and still had not received feedback and grades for my assignments in the other course. When the billing session ended all my work was turned in with no more classes to take however they told me I still had to pay for a whole new billing session just so I... The school did not fulfill their obligation, I became financially responsible for something I shouldn't have been and now completely screwed out of my bachelor's degree that I spent a year and a half on.

Most professors give no guideline on their requirements, forget APA style and citations because every professor states differently and you have to change the format in each class or your dinged. You are doing a lot of assignments blindly. There's been some professors that have literally told me that I needed to include information that I had to highlight and show them I had already included. A lot of these professors don't even read through your assignments.

Please don't let this university ruin your whole educational goals the way they have mine.

My experience with Capella University has been frustrating, especially regarding charges on my account. They initially stated students have 21 days to drop a class, but later said it's before the first Friday. This inconsistency can greatly impact students. I had an amazing experience with Capella! I completed the flexpath general psychology bachelors program. I transferred in with an associates degree. I was able to complete my degree in 3 months! I am so grateful for Capella. I really enjoyed my classes and all of my professors were amazing! The assignments were mainly all essays, but the professors provided rubrics! Online learning here can be difficult. Using the library for resources is frustrating; I find many journal articles I cannot pull up. The librarians are super helpful and nice, so this is not a reflection on them. I find myself using my previous online college for resources. Also, blackboard for discussion posts is frustrating. I like many other students type up our discussions in word then copy and past to blackboard. Blackboard distorts the posts everytime. It's frustrating. I prefer yellowdig... Sending a message through the course room is also a pain, it is a pain to send a message to one person if you don't invert your selection right; it sends it to everyone in the course. If you take two classes at a time and can do it, then do it. It's a lot of reading and researching, trying to find the right articles is like looking for a needle and a haystack. The librarian is super helpful; the library can be limited on articles and you have to find other institutions to get resources from. I would get my Ph.D., but now I am not. I am too exhausted and frustrated with looking for articles, and sick of using blackboard. Some classes have two discussion posts that have ten parts to them, and they take forever to answer. The book is outdated and not helpful, and this is where the library is supposed to be helpful; however, they are limited on articles, and you need other resources (institutions) to get your assignment done. I've had great instructors, and not so great instructors. Online learning is not for everyone. Sometimes, when you email your instructor, it takes forever for them to respond, which is frustrating because you have to email them again. Some of the assignments are unclear, and there are no resources under the campus resources to give you an example. Some classes will give you templates which are super helpful. I am sure that other online colleges are relateable. I am almost done with my master's and I will be relieved until I start paying for my student loan debt. I recently graduated from Capella’s Flexpath program. My experience was positive overall. I used my GI-Bill and didn’t have any issues with the finance department. The program allows you to finish your degree on your schedule. However, you will have to finish the entire course in a specific timeframe. It is not easy though. I have been dropped from two courses at Capella, both due to their own lack of responsibility. The first time, I was dropped due to lack of payment. I had a loan waiting for them. There was never any communication from the University before I was dropped either time. I found out when I tried to open up my course and couldn't find it. Both of the times, I had to search and search as to why I was dropped and received barely any help from academic coaches or the financial aid department. I liked the flexpath Capella offered. It was great because I could spend my time focusing on my studies. However, online, there was a lot of miscommunication. Most of my instructors were great. They were approachable and understanding. I had a few who really worked with me and I appreciated that. There was one really bad instructor who was biased and that was challenging. Student Beware!! I think Capella must take on more students than they can manage. Last year I was activity by military orders and had to put my FlexPath course on military hold. They held a $1,200 balance on me. Then when I restarted my program while deployed and finished it no one noticed or contacted me that my master promissory note was out of date. My financial aid got kicked back and no one contacted me. I finally called to see what was going on and they said that financial aid can no longer...
