This might be the worse school for pursuing any degree. They will treat you like a king until they get you enrolled after that you are on your own. They have no clue what an adult learner has to deal with on a daily basis. When you need them the most they turn their backs on you. If you call them out for their incompetence, they will hold it against you and try to get you removed just because you told the truth. Their tuition is too high and the degrees are looked at as inferior to most organizations... Read More

This University may be receiving business awards but it is a for-profit university that has stockholders. They are great at making profits for the stockholders. From 2002-2015,Capella's interest was not in protecting their PhD students but was instead focused to making profits for this Ed. Company. Northcentral university is a great school. Professors are efficient in their profession. Academic advisors(AAs) are helpful, insightful, and knowledgeable. What I like about Capella was the support by the faculty. My mentor for my doctoral degree was Dr. Valerie Cox. She would always be available for me. She would call me to check on how I was doing, she made a difference in how I succeeded. She believed in me.

I previously wrote a review while doing a study for UofW so wrote it for the wrong school. Capella provides an excellent venue for obtaining a degree. The instructors exceeded my expectations and the mentor (Dr. Judith Forbes) kept me on course. Did I enjoy the time? YES! Was it hard work? Yes. I wish I was doing more with the university but Oregon is a far way from the Minneapolis headquarters. Capella is dedicated to mature students with firm goal orientations.
