Bellevue University

I'm currently taking an all online course load through a degree program/sponsorship between BU and my employer. I actually had completed about 80% of my coursework years ago in a traditional course setting but never finished. I could not pass up the opportunity to complete my degree at a great price. My experience with the school itself has been generally positive. There are some things I would definitely change if I were writing the content. Let me preface this with saying that I fully understand... Read More there is not a ton of options to instruction methods when all your coursework is online. However, I feel the amount of writing in these courses far surpasses anything you will EVER do in real life. I have written more six page papers in less than a year than I did in three years of traditional college plus my last two years of high school...COMBINED. Additionally the duplication in many of the assignments is crazy annoying. For example, class A will be "write a four to six page paper about your experience with a local business". Next in class B, "write a four to six page paper about your experience with (insert specific retailer here". Two courses, two identical assignments, but slightly different wording. It's a tad frustrating. However, with that being said, I feel the experience has been generally great for the method I'm choosing.

I'm in the process of collecting complaints specific to Bellevue University located in Bellevue, Nebraska. Complaints specific to bait and switch and or predatory practices. I enrolled in a program that turned out to be nothing specific to what I was seeking. After being assigned to multiple 'Coaches' to address this problem, only to be referred to the other folks giving me lip service, I dropped from the program and I am pursuing litigation (Collective Class Action) at this time. I enrolled to Bellevue University only because I wanted to get my Bachelor Degree as quick as possible. Before the enrollment my advisor sent me an unofficial evaluation which required me to complete 49 credits to get my degree. And she promised me that my official evaluation was not going to be any different than the one she sent me. After a month of my enrollment my advisor asked me to chek my official evaluation on the schools website. My 49 credits was now 78 credits plus i was required to take... Read More Kirk Patrick Series. I spoke to the president of the University, but she was not helpful at all. I dropped my enrollment after taking my first class and now i got excessive amount of charges on my Federal loans. My suggestion for the people who still wants to study at Bellevue University after reading my review. Make sure you get your official evaluation. Always try to contact them through email. So, you have a written proof of what they promised you just incase if you need to hire a lawyer.
