I started my degree in the fall of 2012 and didn't finish until the summer of 2025. Ball State was very accommodating to me and my situation. Ball State is great at staying committed to students and communicating with them as well. I would recommend Ball State to anyone.

This program is unbelievably bad. Run poorly, constant issues with third party platforms, advisors do absolutely nothing to help. I had to withdraw from a class because their Shadow Health system didn’t work for the first four weeks of the semester despite spending about five hours on multiple calls with the customer support team. I was forced to withdraw from the course and they refused to give me my money back even though it was their issue. They schedule exams on the same days as clinical competencies,... Read More

Ball State was a fair school, the price was extremely reasonable and felt like I got great value out of my time spent. I wish I would have been challenged further, as connecting my education to my work took me sometime to develop, and is some tbh one I am continuing to develop. But it opened up many doors for and I am grateful for my education.

I attended BSU because I wanted to advance in my field and a supervior I respected recommended the college to me. After research the online program was among the better cost options and was flexible enough to accomodate my work setting and hours. I have since graduated and felt as if completion of my program left me prepared to work in higher positions and sit for my board exams.

Ball State University was a great fit for me. Here is why Ball State may be a good fit for you. Are you searching for a school that offers a variety of ways to get involved on campus? Searching for a place to go that feels small town, but you have access to nearby larger cities? Are you searching for a diverse array of professors and educators who will make you feel seen and heard? Ball State may be a good fit for you. During my time at Ball State, I was able to get real-life experiences with on-campus... Read More

I would have to say this is a big regret. The FNP program is the worst. The instructors expect you to teach yourself. They act like you should know how document correctly, even though you have never done it. I agree with Renee's post about changes happening in the middle of the semester and not knowing exactly what to do. This school does not understand that most everyone is a working adult. Don't try and get help from the instructors, because that is not going to happen. Don't start this school... Read More

The NP program provides little to no support and does not provide a positive learning environment. This is my third degree (with a GPA average of 3.98) and I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism by staff and many of the instructors. There is a culture of rudeness in email correspondence. Course instructions and clinical packets are constantly revised and the school does not understand basic document control procedures of revisions to ensure a smooth transition to new procedures,... Ball State University's Telecommunications Video Production program came highly recommended to me, and having been through the program, I certainly extend that recommendation. Having been interested in Video Production for a while, the program did not disappoint in educating me about video production- such as the aesthetics of storytelling, understanding the technological side of running a set, and understanding the importance of being a well-rounded individual and filmmaker. I got tremendous real-life... Read More

I started at Ball State after transferring from serval different colleges. I have enjoyed every minute of it while being there. Excellent! I have been attending for 2years. The teachers are very professional, patient, and caring. I definitely made a good decision.

The professors are extremely informative and expertise in their field. The one problem I have is that sometimes it seems as though they just reuse old material and syllabus without updating them. They'll give out a model with a video to watch with no attached link with it, but they'll email you to inform you about this.

The online program at Ball State University provides students the ability to continue education without having to sit in a classroom. This is convenient for working professional who are working 40+hour weeks. The classes are structured and developed in ways to engage each student.

Their online program was great since I lived out of state and i found their online classroom to be easy to use and manuveur. Most of the professors I had were very understanding and helped me to learn when things may have become difficult. My overall experience was very positive except for the administrating office for scheduling that messed up my classes when I was looking for one direction and got another.

Degree: Educational Leadership
Ball State's online Master's program for Educational Leadership was the perfect fit for me! With a newborn and a full time job, I was able to manage the work due to the flexibility of online classes. I could choose the pace at which I wanted to complete the degree, which was also a perk. There seemed to be an ideal balance of reading, writing, discussion, and assessment in most courses. I am a student that communicated with my professors regularly - for both minor and major questions. I appreciated... Read More

Ball State University has figured out the education field. I took both my undergrad and am currently taking my masters in education. I have been in the education field for 11 years and I can say they I was prepared better than most educators. I was in the classroom multiple times, made to think through the education process, and completely prepared for a career in education.

I really loved the fact that I could complete all my graduate courses online. I'm a single mother and I work full time. Taking classes on campus would have been tremendously hard for me. Ball State offers a program that fits mine and my sons needs. I'm able to apply things I learn from class right into my classroom at work.

The Miller College of Business at Ball State University has been a great experience for me so far in my pursuit of an MBA degree. The staff is very helpful and communicative. They understand the challenges of pursuing a graduate degree while working full time and completing classes online. I would recommend Ball State University to anyone thinking about pursuing a graduate degree, especially online.

Ball State is by far one of the most affordable colleges with a faculty that is always willing to help. Both my undergrad and graduate degrees have been from BSU and I do not regret a single step in the process. My professors liked to be active in our lives and were always available to help us when needed.

The curriculum is good, balanced. The teaching staff are engaging but of course online experience still lacks the rich social environment of face to face engagement. The assignments promote reflective learning and provoke deep connections. If I was near Ball State I would sign on the on campus track!
