Baker Online is a decent learning platform. Yes, it takes a lot of time and dedication, but that is what school consists of. I would recommend if you work full-time and have a family to take care of, ease your way into the program. The expectation and workload is intense, but worth it. They offer accelerated courses and the instructors are knowledgeable. If you think you are going to skate through a class, this college is not for you. I would recommend Baker to those who are looking to put in the... Read More

Baker College forced me into classes I didn't need, double reported balance on my credit, lost my education credit on my taxes, classes will not transfer (already taken in community college so cost me additional money that I should not have needed to take for my degree) Professors are uncommunicative in proper assignments, failed a class based on last paper because professor didn't relate what the paper should have been written on.

Online school is not for everyone just as any degree is not for everyone. Online school is harder and requires more time than on ground classes. Also, you can wish to pursue a career but it does not mean you are going to succeed in it. For example, some people are not born to be doctors even if they want to be doctors. I wanted to be dental assistant and obtained the diploma for it but once it came to work as a dental assistant I knew it wasn’t for me! I love numbers but accounting career is not... Read More

I've researched plenty of Online schools even locally. I chose this school based on the degree and programs it offered, but also because of the cost! Baker Online was a lot cheaper than my local Universities in my State. I've been very satisfied with how my instructors and the courses have been engaging! In going to Baker it has helped in my professional career in being able to not only interview, but also in my current profession of management. It offers up to date information that is relevant and... Read More

Personally, I wanted to complete my BA as I had only been able to attain my Associates many years prior due to financial issues. Online was very new to me, I found everyone I dealt with at Baker to be very helpful. I was paying for it myself and found the price to be reasonable compared with others. The instructors were mostly very good and very helpful when asked. It turned out to be a good move on my part as I am currently in an insurance career and a Bachelor's degree is now required. My career... Read More

Tell us about your college experience.

I already have a BA from Michigan State University. I began attending Baker College for a different degree, this time in business, as my last degree was history. I was really disappointed with Baker. Their online system is clunky and non-intuitive. For how much money students are shelling out for this online program, I expected a much better system to work with. The courses are designed ahead of time and it doesn't matter which instructor you have, the course... Read More
