I absolutely loved Assumption. They provided everything I needed, even a shoulder to cry on when my family had gotten bad news. My favorite parts of Assumption were Chucks, which is a place you can eat at in Hagan. Hagan is a central hub for many student needs, as many groups and outreach can be found there. One of my favorite things about Assumption was the events that would happen weekly; I really liked bingo nights, and the prizes were awesome. It was also nice that there was a senior send-off... Degree: Psychology

I just had to leave this school because of how expensive it is. This is my MAIN complaint. I thought it was going to be worth the price but I do not think it was. It was not very compatible to working a full time schedule of 40+ hours. The professors were there to help but I needed more support. They started me out of order and I did not do as well as I COULD have due to lack of prior knowledge. This school is great if you are only doing grad school and not working full time. But other than that... Read More

My experience in the Special Education program at Assumption was wonderful. I had really great teachers who were knowledgeable and kind. I feel as though I graduated the program completely prepared for the 5th grade special education teaching job that I currently have.

I felt that Assumption College was absolutely the right pick for me. I loved the small community and class structure as well as the fact that faith was intertwined into everything at the school.

I enjoyed the size because it felt like a small community. However, there were some times when the religious aspect of the school was a bit more noticable than I thought it would be. I know it's a Catholic school but things like the Dunkin Donuts on campus not being able to serve meat during lent was a bit much.

Degree: School Counseling

Assumption School Counseling program teaches to the national standard rather than just the Massachusetts standard. This practice makes you prepared to take on a job across the country, rather than just in state.

Assumption College's graduate program in Counseling Psychology is fantastic. The professors and support staff work together to provide the highest-quality education based on the most the most current and effective counseling approaches. One of the most unique and beneficial parts of the program is the professor accessibility. The pros of the graduate school program at Assumption College is that it works very well with working full time. The school definitely caters to the full-time working individual. Also, the classes are challenging and I have learned a lot. I also got a lot of classes waived since I did well undergrad and this helps as well. Also, the GMAT's aren't required and this helped as well since I took them but didn't do as well as I wanted. The cons with the graduate school at Assumption College is that it... Read More

Degree: Counseling

The program at Assumption College is really preparing me for my future in the rehabilitation counseling field. The faculty really values our opinions as a class and understands that we want to learn as much as possible within two years. There are very few cons to this graduate program, other than some of the material is dry. But that is common in any type of schooling.

Assumption's graduate program offers the options for completing either on campus or online, either part time or full time. Classes are offered usually in the afternoon hours which gives the people who work during the day, an opportunity to go to work then classes. This can be a pro or a con for some based on one's employment situation. The instructors are helpful, highly qualified and accessible and class size makes the classroom environment more comfortable. Overall, assumption college is , so far,... Read More

Pros of my institution: it is quite diverse, beautiful surroundings and facilities to enhance student lives. They provided added support for career enhancement and development. There is a shuttle that goes to all the colleges in the area and it is FOR FREE. It is easy to talk to staff and peers. There is a wonderful administrative system and strong Catholic presence. Excellent volunteer organizations and opportunities. Cons of the institution: it is not as diverse as many schools. There are not enough... Read More

Even though this is my first year in the MBA program at Assumption College, I have fallen in love with the school and the program. The professors are great and they are always available for questions or concerns with the material. The small classes are great for one-on-one learning and the classes are very relevant to business today. I would recommend this program to anyone who is looking to further their education.
