I paid for Medical Billing and Coding, but when I logged in the classes were for Pharmacy Tech. I tried to call and email to get this corrected, but nobody ever answers the phone or email. Tried to do a chargeback, didn't work. THIEVES!!!! Now I'm out of the money that I paid and can't do anything about it. Just give my money back thieves!!

CONSTANT issues with the student portal. You can't access your courses because there is constantly the following error message: Sorry. We could not auto-log you into your Lessons. Try again in a minute then contact Student Services. I file tickets daily and no resolution so far

The online program for medical billing and coding it's not good and I would not recommend it to anybody. The courses are very vague and do not have much to do with the medical billing and coding. It's more geared to being just an office assistant or receptionist.

This school is ridiculous and no one working at that school cares about the students or their concerns. Their system is full with glitches, I wish I never started this course with them. Terrible online school. THE ABSOLUTE WORST ONLINE SCHOOL. Do not waste your money.

Taking courses online at my own leisure was great, however, I’ve been done the class for months now and can’t find a job. Everyone wants 2 years experience. I can’t get the experience if no one will let me. Basically waisted money getting this certification.

Do your homework before you sign up. Google CBCS from NHA to see if this designation is for you. It doesnt seem to be popular everywhere. Get everything in writing from Ashworth before you sign up. They promised me study materials for a CPC designation from AAPC. They didnt provide any study materials for CPC. It is going to cost me thousands more to get a CPC from AAPC. Good luck with your decision.

I've read a lot of negative reviews and decided to post a positive one. I enrolled in Medical Coding/Billing and successfully completed it with GPA 3.7, higher than my undergrad GPA. I took this programs to add to my degree in Social Work and to gain more knowledge within the field of medical billing. I've had nothing but good results from this educational institution. I've received my materials in a timely manner, assignments were graded and recorded in the same fashion. When i had an issue or need... Read More

I have had the worst experience with this school. When I have questions my instructor never calls me back or emails me back. So I am paying all this money for a school where you have no help, nobody ever calls you back, when instead I could have got a grant or some help to pay for a much better school that you have help anytime instead of feeling like your just wasting your time and money. My advice, pick a different school to go to.

I cannot finish this program because I do not have the books they are supposed to provide, books I paid for in advance! Supposedly, every single book is on backorder! Really? Seriously? This is unacceptable! Sounds more like a scam! Customer service = POOR! Trying to reach someone who actually cares = NON Existant!!

FOR A COURSE WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE COMPLETED WITHIN A YEAR, THEY FAILED TO SEND ALL MY MATERIALS ON TIME. THE COURSE I AM TAKING REQUIRES 4 BOOKS WHICH ARE SUPPOSED TO BE SUPPLIED BY THE SCHOOL AND WHICH WERE A PART OF MY TUITION, THEY SENT 1 BOOK ON TIME AND THE OTHER 3 ARE ON BACK ORDER AND CAN TAKE APPROX 5 MONTHS BEFORE THEY ARRIVE. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE, I AM 50% COMPLETED WITH MY COURSE AND NEED THE OTHER BOOKS IN ORDER COMPLETE FULLY AND NOW I HAVE TO HOLD OFF ON COMPLETING MY COURSE UNTIL... Read More

First of all I did not even enroll. I wanted to get my Medical Bill and Coding Certificate here. At the time the enrollment fee was at a discount, which did show an expiration. I decided I would need to make my decision soon if I wanted to take advantage of this offer. Well unfortunately I was seeing the previous weeks pricing which was lower. After debating on the phone with two different ladies I decided this situation sounds sketchy. Overall poor customer service led to them not getting any of... Read More

I'm a current student but felt the need to inform potential students about this college. Please keep looking. This college is saturated with poor service, rude costumer services, has ignored 90% of my emails, and it's been 6 weeks and am still waiting. My emails have been ignored over several issues. When I call, I am given the run around. I called once more about the issues of my books and the person in the phone yelled at me, saying I was interrupting her. I work in customer service-I didn't do... Read More

Taking this course was very interesting it kept you want to learn more. The instructors are always there to help you in a timely matter. And it allows you to take a test up to three times but it would also be helpful if once you graduate you're able to go back and we take any of the tests to help you study where the state test.

After falling into insurance on multiple occasions, it occurred to me that perhaps I should look for a career in the industry. I like the business working of insurance but I was more interested in the claims process. Having worked on the practitioner/provider relations side of many insurance companies made me curious about the process that led to us receiving, and ultimately rejecting, a claim. So, I happened upon medical billing and coding, which interested me a great deal as I was always curious... Read More

I enrolled with the medical billing and coding program 12 days ago. I was initially able to review all of the documentation that was sent to me. I was able to immediately log into the student portal and access the workspace. However, upon trying to complete the first lesson, the student handbook was mislabeled as career guidebook and did not match up with the correspondence in that lesson. I also could not access the orientation that was recommended that I watch. I sent a ticket in asking for clarification... Read More

I received a medical billing and coding certificate through Ashworth College. The course work was not too hard, but it did require studying and dedication. I completed my courses in 5 months, I really like that I could work at my own pace.Whenever I encountered a problem I was assisted by the online staff. I would reccomend this college to any person who is self motivated and would like to take online courses. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
