Degree: Business Administration

I had an excellent experience in the MBA program at Arkansas Tech University. The professors were knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in their students' success. The coursework was practical and relevant, allowing me to immediately apply what I learned in real-world business situations. The program challenged me academically while still being flexible enough to balance with work and other responsibilities. I also appreciated the supportive environment and the opportunity to collaborate... Read More

Degree: Agribusiness

My time at Arkansas Tech University was very meaningful. The campus was beautiful and inclusive. I loved all of my Ag science professors; they really showed that they cared about the students. I also loved all of my labs that I took they gave me the hands on experience that I needed.

Degree: Psychology

After 15 years of dabbling in taking a class here or there, it was time to complete my Bachelors degree. By chance, we drove through Russellville and noticed the quaint campus. When we arrived back home, we looked at the website for our daughter to consider as an option to in-state programs. To my surprise, they had a Professional Studies program to complete degrees. I clicked a link and asked for more information. From the first phone call through graduation, ATU was wonderful. My professors were... Read More

Degree: Nursing

LPN to RN program. If you are looking to to advance your career and still work good luck. The lectures along with supposed reviews match nothing like the tests. You will have 4 weeks worth of studying with only 40 questions on the test. If you were an A and B student kiss that good bye. I honestly do not know why anyone would want to go to the nursing program. It is really not worth it. Good luck getting any kind of review for tests. The tests are all over the place. If you are married or have kids... Read More

Degree: Communications

Arkansas Tech University is a quaint campus setting. All the resources necessary for study with vibrant on campus activities and a community ready to welcome students off campus. Affordable and array of scholarships available as well. Great degree programs with generally small student-teacher ratios which allow students to really know their peers and professors. Highly recommended for students looking for an extra bit of guidance or seeking to explore different majors before making a final choice.... Read More

I transferred to Arkansas Tech after 4 years of school at UA-Fort Smith. The biggest difference right off the bat was the helpfulness of the administration. If I needed assistance, or guidance, the staff at Tech were right there to help. They were kind, efficient and tackled any problem I had with ease. The teaching staff was great. Each one had their own style but they were each equally effective and showed they truly cared about the success or failure of their students. These are perfect examples... Read More

Degree: Early Childhood Education

The teachers, staff, and community all play a part in getting my bachelors degree at Arkansas Tech University. My experience was a good one. I got involved in intramural sports and an on campus ministry. The teaching program itself was intense at times, but helped prepare me for teaching. I have been teaching for 2 years now and still reflect on things I learned in my courses to help me in the classroom.

Degree: Emergency Management

The program and instructors are, for the most, part excellent. The field of emergency management is so broad it is difficult for the university to prepare you for all job in the field. Research Emergency Management closely before choosing this major, you should have some understanding of what professions you are interested in and what specifics are required of those professionals. If you come into the program with this understanding your are much more likely to find a job after you graduate.

Arkansas Tech University has a wonderful Early Childhood Education program. The instructors were very knowledgeable regarding the content and I enjoyed my time there. I am starting on my masters degree soon for Educational Leadership. Excited about the future in the education field.

Degree: Liberal Arts

Tech has many masters programs available. I was in the Masters of Liberal Arts program. This program is wonderful because it allows the student to choose what courses they want to take and have a creative project for the masters thesis option. The faculty is knowledgeable in their subject matter, and they are willing to work with students. It is easy to know the staff in the department by the end of your program because of the small class sizes and friendliness of the professors.

Degree: Management

I had a wonderful experience at Arkansas Tech University. The campus theme is "Welcome Home" and you truly feel like Tech is your home after your time there. The campus environment is relaxed and it fully represents the term "southern hospitality." Tech offers a wide variety of majors and campus activities, many of which that are housed in updated or brand new facilities. As a graduate of the business department I can personally speak to the knowledge of professors, who are always willing to help... Read More

The program and school are small however if you are independent and seek out opportunities for yourself you can count on the support of the staff. Upon talking to peers who considered this program but choose another the main reasons seem to be that it is in the state of Arkansas. However I have found the area to be affordable and so a great place to earn a degree.

The opportunities available at Arkansas Tech University are staggering, considering you still get the small campus feel. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk to my next class in 10 minutes without worrying about parking. ATU offered several ways to be involved in campus and activities to do, especially your freshman year, so that you stay engaged. In the past four years since I've graduation, ATU has added a multiple of new and diverse degree programs, including a game and video design program... Read More

The MTLL program at the CLL is a joke. They never give straight answers and push graduation as far as possible. However if you are their favorite then you can do whatever you want. All my classes they would start out by saying were "kind of an intro" to the program. Never learned what we were supposed to learn since we spent all class talking about random things. Don't waste your money at Tech for this program. Go through the state or Arkansas State.

The financial aid office encouraged us (my husband and I, married young) to get substantial student loans, far above what we needed for tuition and books. My husband blew the money from both our loans. He is now in prison (by the grace of God we are still together and he has got his life under control with the Lord's help) and I am raising three children by myself for the next 4 years. I had to default on the loans and I will be paying them for at least the next 20 years. I just enrolled in NPCC... Read More

I would have liked to go have gone to a different college, but my undergraduate experience cannot be traded. I chose to focus on the academic aspect of college more so than the social part. Although, ATU does have opportunities to meet people on campus and do fun activities, it seemed like I always had to work. I went into college with a declared major which you don't have to do until you have earned 40 hours, but I knew what area I wanted to study and that was Psychology. The Psychology undergraduate... Faculty support and accessibility are awesome! The ability to take either online or in-class courses allows for more students being able to obtain their degree. There is no public transportation and very minimal diversity among the city and the University. Arkansas Tech has great people running a great institution!
