The teachers are horrendous. They are unqualified and unhelpful. The school is too small to have a decent program. You would hope at a small school you would have more one on one attention but when I would ask for help they would tell me to drop out of the class. There are so many better schools. Do not wasted your time. I only got an amazing job due to my own research and outside studies.

Degree: Criminal Justice
I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Criminal Justice at Anna Maria College, with a certificate in Victim Studies and a certificate in Forensics Accounting/Financial Crimes and believe that this scholarship will help me to further pursue my career goals of fraud investigation. I am about half way done with my degree and looking forward to finishing in the next year and a half. I'm still paying on my student loans so this will help me tremendously to focus more energy on my studies.

The pros of this graduate program is that it offers on campus or online learning options. I pursued the online option and it has been a good experience. The assignments are manageable-I take one course at a time over eight weeks. The students come from across the nation in a wide range of careers. The cons are the online graduate program professors vary in regards to their availability and feedback. Some professors review your work right away with beneficial feedback, while others you only hear back... Read More

Convenient online program with 8-week classes, so two classes can be completed, one at a time per term. The classes are organized the same way, so they're all consistent, which is nice. No clinical hours required for this program, the main reason why I chose to attend this program. Faculty and staff were helpful and want students to succeed. Classes were not that challenging, so if you have a prior bachelor's degree or higher, you'll probably feel like you're paying for your degree. There are cheaper... Read More

I obtained my Bachelors degree (Fire Science) from Anna Maria and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. I worked full time and usually took 1-2 classes each semester. I graduated with honors and the degree has already had a very positive effect on my career. The classes are a lot of work. You will get very intimate with the APA format and you will write a lot of papers but you will also get an amazing education. I could not be happier and would definitely recommend it to others.

Great program with applicable coursework ... Expectations were challenging, but manageable. Instructors frequently had applicable real world experience in related field of instruction.

A pro of completing my masters in public administration at Anna Maria college was that I was able to complete 8 of 10 classes at their satellite campus in Worcester, MA. A con of taking an online course was that I never got to meet the instructor or my classmates. After interacting with them electronically, I felt respect towards some of them and would have liked to meet them in person in a classroom setting.

I feel that the pros and cons of this program are the following: Pros, great atmosphere for students, quiet campus which allows for more work time for students. Faculty is very helpful in all ways, from financial aid to professors. I think it is a great small school for those who are looking for a good quality education, with a small community campus. It is a great commuter school as well as a great school for students who are looking to move away from home. I had the pleasure of both commuting and... Read More

As far as the education I am enjoying the majority of my classes. I have found that my advisor at times was not responsive and a few professors were not either. In the cases of the instructors, I simply requested some clarification and feedback on my assignments and never got a response from either of them.
