The administration was elusive; student service does not align students with a person or counselor to assist with continuous contact. If they give you 3 days to respond, week-ends are counted. The administrative and student services have 7 days to respond without having to give a person for contact. For unforeseen matters & emergencies, you can fill out a form for them to deny. I graduated in 2008 and took the California Bar Examination in 2009. I passed the California Bar Examination on the first try. After passing the California Bar Examination, I opened my law practice and still practice today. I was admitted to the United States Supreme Court in 2016. Since I worked full-time as a litigation paralegal while going to ALU, I could pay my tuition on an ongoing basis and graduated without any debt.

ALU's JD program is really great. I was able to earn a JD in 4 years and spent $45k altogether. To all of the other cry babies out here, earning a JD degree is hard, and you need to work for it, it's a great school but you need to put the work in order to actually earn a JD. The material is relevant and on point. I was able to go through the full 4 years while working 30 hours a week. Professor Jung was one of the best professors I have ever had. He always made himself available for the students who showed that they were willing to put out the effort to do the work it takes to succeed. He never turned away a student and even though he always had a full schedule he continued to make the time and go above and beyond for his students, myself included. This is school is an excellent option for those who work full time and are still motivated to get a law degree. The school provides all the necessary resources for success but much of the success also depends on the student's natural intelligence, dedication to putting in the necessary time and the ability to self-learn in a directed environment. This really is the best option for a low-cost, distance learning / night school option to get a law degree and begin the path towards becoming an attorney.... The online lectures are easily viewable and can be watched live or recorded and the assignments are not overwhelming although there is quite a bit of reading. If becoming an attorney is your goal and you're unable to commit the time or money to a traditional law school, this is a great option.

I am proud to be an alumna of ALU. It really is one of the best online programs out there. Technology is easy to use and if there were ever issues I had direct contact with the tech department. Professors were all practicing attorneys, enthusiastic about this program, and great at what they do. At the time I was at ALU, my job required me to travel early every week, and only ALU's flexible class structure would permit me to work and study law. The education was excellent.
