We've ranked the top 25 online bachelor’s degrees in history based on return on investment (ROI). To compare programs based on how they might pay off over time, we looked at a combination of both earnings and debt. We used government data for median alumni salary and debt then factored in salary growth and loan interest to determine what 10-year earnings might be. Most of the degrees on this list feature ROIs higher than the U.S. average for all history bachelor’s degrees (online or not), which is $291,900. For example, top-ranked American Public University System’s 10-year ROI is $468,100, followed by University of Virginia with $442,700.
