University of Phoenix Online Degrees, Rankings, and Reviews

With this information I started my my classes and never looked back. Out of high school I attended The University of Kansas and my curriculum was just as hard if not tougher in some cases at the UOP. Not only was the work challenging but I could always get a hold of an instructor if I needed them. The one thing I don't care for is the group projects but luckily I had good partners. I worked a full time job 7pm-7am as a Production Manager and was still able to find the time to complete my program. You truly get what you put into it. The biggest gripe I hear is that they are for profit. I personally don't understand what the big deal is. What school isn't for profit. How do you expect to get new academic buildings built if you aren't making a profit? Whatever stigma the school about it being online should be erased by this point. Every school in America had to figure out how to convert their platform to online and UOP didn't. They are the best in the country at online learning. This past April 24th I graduated in Phoenix Arizona with a Bachelor's in Business Management. Before graduation I had been accepted into several MBA programs to include University of Tennessee, Penn State, Purdue University and University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The UOP had their graduation at the Arizona Diamondbacks Stadium. I must say the UOP sold me to come back and get my MBA. This was the most professional graduation I have ever attended which had to be hard because we were the first in person graduation since Covid-19 started. Now a month removed from graduation I was hired to be a Operations Manager for a Walmart Fulfilment Center which is a 6 figure job. I could not of been hired for this job without experience and a bachelors degree. One of the key things a learned in my undergrad that I use often is a SWOT analysis Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats in business. I would highly recommend this school to anyone especially if you are working fulltime and you are a parent. Don't listen to others do what's best for you!

So, just to start, I had already been a nurse in the field for 8 years before enrolling in their BSN program online. The BSN is a required stepping stone for me to obtain a higher degree level and career within the nursing world. UOP was highly recommended... Read More by several of my colleagues, so I decided to try it out. Not only did they provide a massive tuition discount, since my ADN college partnered with their university, but their accreditation was accepted by all CRNA schools, including the state universities where I live as well as several others I had checked before enrollment. Like most degree plans, you HAVE. TO. DO. THE. WORK. I had several late nights writing papers, researching, and juggling a career and family, but ended up graduating with a well-deserved 4.0 GPA. The staff was supportive, the classes (though not thought provoking for me as I was already in the field for quite some time) were easy to understand, and laid out the requirements. The staff was also supportive of any concerns regarding professors that were presented. I have found the majority of people who have complained about this program are those who thought they could enroll and do half-attempted work and try to pass through. I have had ZERO issue with their accreditation into grad school, and have had found that though I have no salary increase from going to ADN to BSN, I have been offered several promotions and more upper-level opportunities within my nursing career for the BSN credential. This was by far the most affordable program, and they provided me with the tools I needed to succeed. It is up to the student to be successful, success is a choice, not a given.

The University of Phoenix has some great courses however, information technology is not one of them. I didn't know any better when I enrolled in this course and they assured me the courses were updated frequently(laugh) The course was thrown together... Read More with anything technology that they could find, the course also offered a programming certificate this was a joke because an entry-level position in this field you need to be able to create webpages from scratch and from looking at photos of client expectations. This Course had the right lineup but only brief introductions that I could have done for free online. I am 59 and trying to change careers as I cannot do heavy lifting anymore after 35 years as a retail manager and this degree is worthless as a retail manager is all I still qualify for and 35,000.00 in debt as they should either give me a good portion of that back to get the proper classes or offer me the classes for free to obtain the jobs related.
