#1 Cincinnati State Technical and Community College

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College offers several online associate degrees, which are all business-related. One of them is a finance technology program, which leads to careers in insurance, banking, corporate finance, or investments. Students enrolled in this program can choose one of two tracks. The general finance track prepares students for work with businesses or individuals involved in spending, raising or investing money. The financial planning track emphasizes financial management, including insurance, budgeting, taxes, investments, and estate planning.

#2 University of Cincinnati-Clermont College

UC Clermont offers three online degree programs: Associate of Applied Business degrees in Accounting Technology and Business Information Technology, and an Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Systems Technology. Online certificates are also available in medical billing and coding, cancer registry management, physician practice management, software productivity, and health care privacy and security. UC Clermont is fully integrated into the University of Cincinnati system, giving students access to the resources of a large research university without the need to travel to campus. Students can gain certification online in a vast array of fields at Sinclair Community College, including corrections, fast track programming, IT fundamentals, law enforcement, pharmacy technician, software applications for the professional, and supply chain management. The school also offers online Associate of Arts degrees in History, Psychology, and Communication Studies. Their online Associate of Applied Science degrees include Computer Information Systems with three specialization options: network engineering, which introduces the technologies and methods needed for Internet and network communications; secure system administration, where students learn to configure and manage computers using a variety of operating systems; and software development, which teaches system design and software programming to prepare students for entry-level jobs in the field.

Stark State College offers a multitude of online associate degrees in business, finance, information technology, and the liberal arts. These include an Associate of Applied Business in Accounting, which offers concentrations in computer information, corporate, CPA, health administration, or tax, and an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science and Engineering that provides the option to specialize in video game design or development. Stark State College also offers online certificates in various fields. Its Certificate in Banking Associate prepares students for entry-level positions in banking, and its Certificate in Enrolled Agent prepares students to pass the Enrolled Agent Exam administered by the IRS.

A variety of online associate degrees are also available here, including Associate of Applied Science degrees in Accounting, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement – Academy Track, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

Central Ohio Technical College offers one online associate degree: An Associate of Applied Business in Business Management Technology. This is a program that provides the instruction necessary for employees to excel in today’s world of business. Students who choose this program have the option to choose an emphasis in either human resources, office administration, entrepreneurship, marketing and sales, or management. The courses for the human resource concentration are aligned with the SHRM certification, and the management and office administration concentrations allow those enrolled to become proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Zane State College offers a variety of fully online associate degree programs. Options include Associate of Applied Business degrees in Entrepreneurship, Business Management, Human Resources Management, Marketing Management, Real Estate, and Healthcare Management. An Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Management is also available. Additionally, the school offers some of its online courses to students enrolled in on-campus programs. ZSC uses the Blackboard learning management system to deliver course content, and students have access to the My ZSC portal, which brings together Blackboard, course registration, financial aid, and other functions in one convenient location.

North Central State College offers online programs to help make college more accessible and affordable to students of all ages. The community college offers online degrees in management, business analytics, psychology, liberal arts, and criminal justice. Online certificates are also available in operations management, Microsoft applications, and bookkeeping. Most courses are designed to be completely asynchronous, which means students can log in and learn when it's convenient. Some instructors hold office hours via Zoom, making it easy for students to get help without having to travel to campus.

Among Washington State Community College’s online educational offerings are several associate degrees. Students can prepare for jobs as managers with an Associate in Business Management, learn to work with machines at manufacturing plants with an Associate in Process Technology, and prepare to transfer to a bachelor’s degree with an Associate of Liberal Arts. Students can also pursue WSCC’s 32-credit hour online Certificate in Chemical Operator, which introduces basic mechanical systems and fundamental in health, environmental, and safety issues.

Edison State Community College offers two online associate degrees. The other online degree is the Associate of Arts Transfer Program, which covers areas such as Computer Literacy, Communication Arts, Humanities, and Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Terra State Community College has two degree programs that are available 100% online: an Associate of Individualized Study (AIS) in Pre-Mortuary Science and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Health Care Administration. Several courses, including Medical Terminology, Survey of Physics, and Fundamentals of Sociology, are also offered online. TSCC uses the Canvas learning management system to deliver course content. With Canvas, online students have access to the same resources as students who attend on-site classes, including library services and tutoring. All online courses are designed to be asynchronous, allowing students to balance their studies around work and family commitments.

Cuyahoga Community College District, also known as Tri-C, offers more than 30 online degree, certificate, and professional development programs. Students also have access to hybrid programs, which include a blend of online and on-campus classes. Associate of Applied Business degrees are offered entirely online in majors such as business management, programming and development, and captioning and court reporting. Certificates and certifications are also offered fully online in coaching, leadership, data analytics, supply chain management, and other subjects. Associate of Arts and Science degrees are available in a hybrid format in fields such as Anthropology, History, Sociology, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Cuyahoga Community College District uses Blackboard Learn and other tools to deliver course materials and help students keep track of their assignments.

Clark State Community College offers online certificates in areas such as web development, customer service, judicial court reporting, and management. It also offers a number of online business-related associate degrees, including its Associate of Applied Business in Management, which requires accounting, economics, finance, information technology, business law, and other basic courses. This degree program allows students to specialize in either insurance, banking, or real estate broker. CSCC also offers standard Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees that can be completed online. These degrees are designed for students planning to transfer to four-year institutions.

The Business Management Associate of Applied Business is an online degree offered by Northwest State Community College. This 63-credit program trains students to become effective managers by providing them with decision-making, analytical, and communication skills. Upon completion of this degree, students will be skilled in labor relations, supervision, marketing, accounting, and salesmanship, and will be qualified for positions such as general manager or assistant manager. This four-semester curriculum includes classes such as Financial Accounting, Marketing, Business Law, Labor Relations, Management, and Salesmanship.

#15 Lakeland Community College

Lakeland Community College offers a wide selection of certificates and Associate of Applied Business degrees that students can earn through distance learning. Students wanting to boost their accounting skills by learning new software can pursue the college’s Associate of Applied Business in Accounting. Those who want to become supervisors and administrative assistants should consider the Associate of Applied Business in Business Management, which allows for areas of concentration including business information management and general management. Certificates offered by LLC include E-Business, IT Foundations, and Small Business Accounting.

#16 Marion Technical College

Marion Technical College’s online offerings consist primarily of Associate of Applied Business degrees. There is also an opportunity to earn two certificates online at MTC: one in business management and one in office administration.

Southern State Community College offers online courses via Canvas. Using this platform, students access class readings, communicate with instructors and peers, complete assignments, and take tests and quizzes. SSCC offers an online Associate of Arts with concentrations in Agriculture, Business Management, Real Estate, Theater, and Health. The online Associate of Science is available in Agriculture, Mathematics, Molecular Biotechnology, and Forensic Biotechnology. SSCC also offers an online certificate in real estate. Each semester, SSCC holds Student Canvas Orientation, a self-paced program designed to help students succeed in their online courses.

#18 Lorain County Community College

Lorain County Community College offers an online Associate of Arts degree that prepares students for transfer to a four-year institution. To earn this degree at LCCC, students must complete 62 credit hours and at least 39 Transfer Module credits. Required coursework for this program includes six credits of English Composition, 22 credits of electives, and nine credits each for Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Mathematics and Science. Examples of courses include College Composition, History of American Architecture, Art History, Macroeconomics, and Intro to Political Science.
